Count your Blessings

I have heard this saying all my life. Count your blessings. I think the concept of remembering what you have and being thankful for it is something we should not take lightly. It is often difficult to remember the good in your life when things are not going well.

When you feel like the world is against you, counting your blessings can be a therapeutic exercise that will give you a surprisingly positive result. It is sort of like counting sheep when you can’t sleep. Putting your mind on a project that will distract it from the negative allows the positive to take over. In the case of counting sheep, your brain relaxes, and you fall asleep. Counting blessings distracts your brain from your anxieties and lets the positive thoughts multiply. Then you can be thankful.
