You Could Miss It

“Life moves pretty fast. If you don’t stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.”~ Ferris Bueller

Decide that today is your day to stop. Stop doing what you think you must do, what others demand that you do and what you really do not want to do. Just stop. Listen to Ferris Bueller. Life moves fast and you are moving right along with it. Stop. Rest.

Better yet, listen to God. Psalm 46:10 “Be still, and know that I am God…” Psalm 131:2 Surely I have calmed and quieted your soul…”

Sometimes it is best to just be still….be with God. If you go to him he will be waiting for you. Mathew 20:22 “So Jesus stood still and called them, and said, “What do you want Me to do for you?” What do you want from Him? Rest, peace, abundance of life? You can not have those things if you are in a constant state of going.

Often in this life we go go go….and we forget to stop and rest. God urges us to rest in Him. He is a God of peace. Why do we focus on doing when we should focus on being?

Decide today that you will rest with God.

Galatians 2:20 “I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.”

No longer disrespect God by go go going all the time. Take time to be with Him in quiet stillness, listen to His will, receive guidance and go in peace.
